After years of research and months of kitchen testing, Totally Bamboo proudly unveils its latest line -- solid bamboo countertop sheets. 16% harder than maple, bamboo is clearly the best choice for durable countertop surfaces, as well as construction stock for bookcases, table legs, architectural accents, etc.

The experience gained from crafting over one million cutting boards, has resulted in perfecting the manufacturing process of thick, stable sheets that are incredibly beautiful and a green alternative to traditional wood counter tops.

Our unique countertop sheets are readily available in a variety of styles, including our exclusive Parquet End Grain.  In addition, all of our most popular designs are now also available in 2" thick sheets.

Ready for contractor installation, Totally Bamboo brand countertop sheets are constructed with cross-band laminates that we call Multilam(TM) (patent pending).  In early testing, we discovered that this is the ideal way to glue bamboo.  This method keeps the sheet both flat and true, as well as lessens the tendency to twist or warp.

Our unique Multilam(TM) inner core has the additional benefit of providing a striking edge profile that is just as aesthetically pleasing as it is structurally vital, as seen below:

Formaldehyde Free Adhesives
Totally Bamboo brand solid parquet counter tops are laminated with a completely non-toxic, food grade, and most importantly, formaldehyde free adhesive. Our adhesive is so safe that you can even prepare food directly on the counter surface. This adhesive is used on both our natural and caramelized parquet models.

Our vertical grain and flat grain models utilize this same adhesive on both sides of the cutting surface. The Multilam(TM)  core in these models emit a maximum of 0.03 ppm of formaldehyde, this level is far lower than required by OSHA (USA) E1 (European) CARB phase 1 and 2 and the Japanese JIS/JAS (F**). This adhesive is not used on the food contact surfaces. The adhesive used is a completely non-toxic, food grade, formaldehyde free adhesive.

Styles
Currently we offer four different grain patterns: Flat Grain Dark, Vertical Grain Dark and our exclusive Dark and Natural Parquet

Sizes
Both the Flat Grain and Vertical Grain are avalable in 1 1/2" thick, 30" wide home installation ready sheets in 8' lengths.  The Caramelized Parquet End Grain is available in 1½" x 30" x 96" and 1 1/2" x 36" x 72". 

Sheets come unfinished and sanded to 180 grit; ready to be spliced together for a kitchen island or installed as counter tops.  You can router the edge profiles to suit your individual kitchen style. Totally Bamboo recommends sealing the counter tops with any of the excellent finishes currently on the market.  You can simply use mineral oil, or as a natural alternative, walnut oil and then seal with Bees Wax. Vegetable oil or olive oil is not recommended as it can leave a unpleasant odor.

2" Thick Sheets
Now available for the first time, Totally Bamboo brand countertop sheets in 2" thickness at 30" wide and 96" long.  Available in the designs seen below.


Warranty

Totally Bamboo uses all-natural material, and as such, the material will have natural variations in its coloration from sheet to sheet.  Although every effort is made to ensure color consistency, Totally Bamboo is not responsible for all sheets being identically matched. Our products are warranted against any manufacturing error, but cannot be warranted against conditions that are beyond our control, such as extreme dryness, humidity, abusive handling or care and failure to properly install the top.  All claims must be made, in writing, to Totally Bamboo, within Five (5) Business days of receipt by consumer.  Totally Bamboo reserves the right to sanction any claims on our products and is not responsible for transportation or labor involved in said claims.
